This Man's Wee Boy by Tony Doherty

Set against the background of the growing tensions between residents, the dreads B-men' and the British Army, Tony Doherty skillfully paints a picture of life in a working-class family, the local characters on his street and the joys and tribulations of a child growing in a city on the verge of civil war.

Tony's father, Patsy, is central to the story - a legend in his son's eyes and a man who struggles to raise a family though bitter years of economic inactivity.
